There are an abundance of activities and places of interest within a short drive of The Dragon House.
The stunning West Somerset coastline boasts some great beaches, most of which are dog friendly. There are several fantastic English Heritage and National Trust properties to visit as well as other places of interest such as Tarr Steps, an ancient clapper bridge thought to date back to 1000BC.
The West Somerset Railway offers a nostalgic ride through the beautiful Somerset countryside and hosts both historic steam locomotives as well as diesel trains.
For some of Somerset’s best riding, we recommend Quantock Trekking based at West Bagborough who will take you over The Quantocks, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. A great experience for riders of all abilities.
Exmoor was recently designated the first International Dark Sky Reserve in Europe. There are many spots on Exmoor where you can view some amazing astronomical sights or you can stand in the Dragon House garden after dark and gaze at the stars!
